December 2025

FRONT END:

Download in FLAC format:

You can now download tracks from your front end in FLAC format, alongside mp3 and WAV formats:

MASTERS, COMPOSITIONS and ALBUMS:

Alternative Titles - Types and Languages

For Master, Composition and Album records, you can now add optional Alternative Title Types and Alternative Title Languages.

This is in preparation for publisher CWR registrations (coming soon!) and for defining radio broadcast short titles to appear on digital radio displays.

DELIVERY MODULE:

Direct Download

The Delivery Module is designed to deliver audio files and metadata in bulk to multiple endpoints. In some instances you might want to just test the delivery without needing it to go to an actual endpoint, or just create a delivery and email it to your delivery partner directly.

To cater for this, we have introduced the ability to deliver to your local drive, where the delivery can then be reviewed and forwarded as needed:

November 2025

FRONT END:

Key Filter:

Within your front end metadata searches, you can now filter by the Key of the master recording:

Pitching to SyncUp

When pitching a Playlist from the front end, you can create an Opportunity within SyncUp to continue your quote and licensing process.

The master recordings and compositions in the playlist will automatically populate the asset list within the SyncUp Opportunity.

MASTERS:

Filename Searches in Admin

You can now search for your master recordings using partial or full filenames.

There is also the option to include or hide the filename in the Master summary view.

This functionality is currently only available for mp3 filename searches, but as it works as a wildcard search and most masters have an mp3 created from higher quality audio files upon ingestion, there should usually be a match for most filenames if they exist in the system:

Sub-Genre Selection Filtering

When selecting Genres and Sub-genres, the Sub-Genres will be sorted according to which Genres have been previously selected.

You can still select any Sub-Genre; the most relevant to the main Genres will be at the top of the list.

Please note, this function requires your system to be reindexed, which means we will need to enable this feature on your system. Please contact your Account Manager or raise a request here

SYNCUP:

Assets visible within SyncUp Opportunity Summary

The Assets (Master recordings, Compositions, OneStops) are now visible in the SyncUp Summary so you can see which songs are included in the Opportunity without having to open up each individually.

The Licensing Portion is also indicated - M for Master, C for Composition, O for OneStop.

DELIVERY MODULE:

Copy Mappings Function

If you need to create multiple complex mappings with similar source fields, you can now copy an existing mapping down and make a small adjustment rather than creating the whole mapping from scratch.

FRONT END:

Release Date Filter:

Within your metadata search for those with front-end sites, you now have more accurate filtering by release date. This allows your users to select a specific date range or filter by release year.

MASTERS:

Loudness Analysis:

Alongside our existing waveform generation, we now include a loudness analysis based on the EBU R128 standard.

  • For broadcasters, this will allow you to output BWF files and ensure compliance with EBU standards.
  • For labels and production music libraries, this will also assist with quality control on your audio files, allowing early identification of potentially problematic audio files prior to delivery to DSPs or other partners.

Variable Tempos/BPMs:

In addition to the existing BPM and Tempo fields, you can now add a Start and End BPM for when the tempo varies during the track. The type of tempo variation can also be added, allowing you to capture details on masters where the tempo varies.

Variable Keys/ Modulations:

In addition to the existing Key field, you can now add a Start and End Key for when there is a modulation during the track. This allows you to capture details on masters where the key changes.

New Fields in “Masters”:

To allow greater flexibility in defining and searching for masters using metadata searches and filters, we have added new fields:

  • Production Genre/Sub-Genre: To capture the types of Productions the master would be suitable for (e.g. News, Documentary, etc).
  • Atmospheres/ Textural Fields: For description of the atmosphere and feel of a track.
  • Toolkit & Effects: Where the catalog includes tracks similar to sound effects, those descriptions can be added here.
  • Transitions: In addition to the Variable BPM and Key fields mentioned above, this field can be used to capture other transitions within the track, perhaps a change of mood or even genre.
  • Track Facts: Any other interesting features about the track!

All new fields are available in reports and as outputs in our Delivery Module.

COMPOSITIONS:

Parent/Child Relationships

Compositions can now be structured as parent/child relationships, meaning you can define structures for classical music such as movements within symphonies, so each part of the overall composition can have its own metadata captured as part of the whole work. Parent/child relationships can be defined in a similar way for interpolated works, etc.

ARTISTS:

Contact Selector

When creating or amending bands, you can now select the members of the band from the Contacts list rather than using free text. This allows greater flexibility on definition of the artist members and their origins, history, etc.

DELIVERY MODULE:

Transform function for Durations

Regardless of how your durations are stored or displayed in your system, you can now export them in a variety of date and datetime formats according to your delivery endpoint’s requirements. Export formats include seconds, HH:MM:SS and MM:SS.

ALBUM:

Track Lists - Filtering of Main Tracks and Versions

If you have an album that includes Main Tracks and Versions (e.g. Instrumentals, 60s, 30s versions), you can hide the Versions to just see the Main Tracks, making for a cleaner and more navigable view.

Other Identifiers

You can now add external identifiers against each Album record to help match the Album data to 3rd party sources. These could be legacy system codes, society references or even musicbrainz and discogs references.

Artwork

Multiple artwork files can now be added to an Album, allowing you to include back covers, inlays, etc rather than just front cover artwork.

Estimated Release Date

If you’re a label putting together a new release schedule and have not yet confirmed a release date, or you’re ingesting legacy catalog and don’t have the exact release date for an album, you can now enter a release date and mark it as an ‘Estimated Release Date’. This gives you flexibility in planning your releases and avoids confusion as to confirmed release dates.

DELIVERY MODULE:

Transform function for Dates

Regardless of how your dates are stored or displayed in your system, you can now export them in a variety of date and date/time formats according to your delivery endpoint’s requirements. Export formats include US, EU, ISO8601.

YouTube Rights Claim Policy now available for selection and delivery through DDEX

If you’re delivering repertoire to YouTube and need to specify a rights claim policy, this can now be entered through our Release Deals functionality and delivered through the Delivery Module using DDEX or other custom formats.

Additional Artist field now available for mapping

Our Contacts record, which is used to capture metadata relating to people (writers, contacts, etc) now includes fields for dates of birth and dates of death. Where dates are unknown, an estimate can be entered and flagged as uncertain:

USER GROUPS:

Artwork & Logos

You can now add artwork or a logo to a user group, allowing you to customize that user group’s experience within your system.  Users logging in will see their own brand against yours, personalizing and enhancing the professional connection:

DELIVERY MODULE:

Metadata Only Delivery

You now have the ability to send metadata only (without audio or image files) to partner endpoints who don't need the media assets - faster deliveries, reduced bandwidth, and streamlined processes for metadata-focused partners.

A simple toggle switch lets you quickly configure metadata-only deliveries without any further technical setup. Which is perfect for partners who only need catalog information without media files.

Choose what to deliver to each partner - full packages with audio and images, or lean metadata-only deliveries - tailored to each partner's specific needs and technical capabilities.

Configurable Separators for Concatenated Data Fields

When combining data fields to send to your delivery endpoints, you can now customize how multiple combined values are separated in your deliveries to match each partner's specific requirements.

This allows you flexibility in delivery mappings to multiple endpoints without needing to compromise your source data.

Create individual data mappings for your delivery partners with template-based formatting and full control over how writer credits, percentages, and other metadata appear in your exports.

Name Format Flexibility

When including names in deliveries, these can be formatted as Full Name or Last Name, First Name or any combination using the separation method mentioned above.

FRONT-END

PRODUCTIONS:

Additional metadata available on Productions

You can now see additional production information including cast, crew and durations directly on front end production pages - all the details you need in one convenient location for better content management.
