Synchtank offers a powerful API tool as an optional system module.

For customers with complex in-house solutions or looking for automation on their licensing, search, reporting and other platform operations, the API offers an extremely powerful way to further increase the high value of the Synchtank platform. Use of the API by your technical teams allows for extreme fine tuning of data, workflows and reporting to ensure multiple systems are running at maximum efficiency.

With over 300 end points, the API covers all conceivable use-cases, including but not limited to:

  • Automated track loading and import
  • Metadata compliance and information
  • Playlist management

Furthermore, Synchtank is continuously adding new end points, building on existing features and ensuring maximum flexibility, allowing your system to work seamlessly with other systems.

In addition, the system is built in such a way that custom end points for specific client scenarios can be added on request. This ensures that the platform can be customized to perform the exact actions your workflows require.

The API is secured with industry leading authentication ensuring that data, tracks, and usage are only available to the users that are meant to be able to see them.

 

Example use case

You might have a separate WordPress site that requires a detailed set of track metadata. Your WordPress developer can quickly tap into the relevant data on the Synchtank platform and present it in the WordPress system without Synchtank being involved for any development.

Alternatively, you may want to put together some custom ways for customers to access playlists. Again, your developers can quickly get those via the API and present them in your systems with no requirement for Synchtank to do anything.
