What is the Shares & Pitching feature?

Shares & Pitching allows you to share tracks, albums, and playlists with anyone — whether they have a Synchtank login or not — and generate pitches for music supervisors, radio pluggers, and other industry contacts.

How do I share a track, album, or playlist?

  • Track — click the share icon on the right side of the track
  • Album — find the album and click the Share button
  • Playlist — open the playlist from the side panel, click the three dots, and select Share

A pop-up will appear where you can fill in the recipient details and choose how to share.

What are the sharing options?

  • Send HTML email — sends an email with a link to the track, album, or playlist
  • Tracking link — Do NOT send email — generates a shareable link without sending an email. Adding an email address is optional but enables tracking
  • Preview — Email myself a preview — sends a test email to yourself before sharing
  • Form Submission URL — delivers a playlist directly to an external platform that supports inbound submission links

Do recipients need a Synchtank account to view shared content?

No. You can share with anyone regardless of whether they have a login. Just make sure the correct permissions are set to allow non-logged-in users to view and download. Contact your admin if you are unable to share with non-logged-in users.

How do I track who has interacted with my shares?

Go to the Shares section in the top navigation. Here you can see all your shares and view analytics including delivery status, opens, clicks, and downloads.

What is Pitching?

Pitching allows you to generate a submission link and send it to contacts such as music supervisors or radio pluggers. They receive an email with a link to a submission form where they can complete the pitch and attach any relevant files.

How do I create a pitch?

  1. Navigate to the Submissions section in the top right navigation
  2. Click Generate Link in the top right
  3. Fill in the pitch details
  4. Recipients will receive an email with a link to the submission form
  5. Once submitted, all submissions appear in your Submissions page

You must have the correct permissions to use Pitching. Contact your admin if you do not have access.

Can I run a report on my shares?

Yes — if you are a Synchtank Admin user. Go to the Reports section and run a Shares report to export a spreadsheet of all shares made via your system. Refer to the Reports guide for more information.
