Productions FAQs

What is the Productions section?

The Productions section is found under Catalog in the Synchtank Admin. It allows you to manage and store information about TV shows, films, and other productions. It works closely with the Cue Sheets module and can also be used to showcase production information on the front-end of your site.

What information can I add to a Production?

A Production record includes a wide range of fields to capture as much detail as possible — such as title, version, production company, release year, and other header-level details. These header fields appear on Cue Sheet exports.

How do I create a new Production?

Go to Catalog → Productions and click the green Create button. Fill in the relevant details and click Save.

What tabs are available on a Production page?

Once saved, the following tabs appear at the top of the Production page:

  • Cue Sheets — link cue sheets to the production (note: this must be done from within the Cue Sheets module)
  • Compositions — link compositions to the production (done from within the Compositions module)
  • Albums — link albums to the production (done from within the Albums module)
  • Contracts — link contracts to the production (done from within the Contracts module)
  • Masters — link masters to the production (done from within the Masters module)

How do I link a Cue Sheet to a Production?

Cue Sheets are linked to Productions from within the Cue Sheets module — not from the Production page itself. For more information on creating and managing Cue Sheets, refer to the Cue Sheets section in the Catalog guide.

Can I show Productions on the front-end of my site?

Yes. Productions can be published to the front-end of your site for promotional purposes — for example, to showcase syncs and placements associated with your catalog.
