Playlists FAQs

What is the Playlists section?

The Playlists section is found under Catalog in the Synchtank Admin. It allows you to create, view, and manage playlists across your system — all from one place.

What information can I add to a Playlist?

When creating or editing a playlist, you can add:

  • Name — the playlist title
  • Notes — any additional information about the playlist
  • Artwork — a cover image for the playlist
  • External links — such as a Spotify link
  • Tracks — search and add tracks from your catalog
  • Category — organise playlists by type

How do I create a new Playlist?

Go to Catalog → Playlists and click the Create button in the top right corner. Enter a name and any other details, then click Save. You will be redirected to the Edit Playlist page where you can search and add tracks using the Add Track button.

How do I edit an existing Playlist?

Find the playlist in the list and click on it, then select the Edit button. From here you can edit tracks, change the playlist title, and add or change the category.

How do I feature a Playlist?

From the Playlists list page, click the green Featured button next to the playlist you want to feature. Featured playlists are highlighted on the front-end of your site.

Can I use Playlists to create Cue Sheets?

Yes. If a playlist already contains the correct tracks in the right order, you can use it to create a Cue Sheet quickly. For more information, refer to the Cue Sheets section in the Catalog guide.

Can I bulk edit or run reports on Playlists?

Yes. You can run a Playlists report from the Reports section to export your playlist data as a CSV file.
