Music Player FAQs
What is the Music Player?
The Music Player allows you to listen to tracks across your Synchtank platform without interrupting playback — you can browse different pages while music continues playing in the background.
Can all users hear full tracks?
It depends on the user's access level:
- Anonymous (non-logged-in) users — hear a shortened preview of each track
- Logged-in users — hear full tracks based on their permissions
The preview length for anonymous users can be configured by the Synchtank team. Contact your Account Manager or raise a support request to set or change it.
How do I control playback?
- Play/Pause — click the Play (▶) or Pause (⏸) button, or press the Space bar
- Next track — click the Forward (▶▶) button or press the Right arrow key
- Previous track — click the Backward (◀◀) button or press the Left arrow key
- Fast-forward or rewind — click anywhere on the progress bar to jump to that position
How do I add a track to my playlist?
Click the three dots (...) icon on the track, then click the plus (+) button to add it to your playlist. Note that duplicate tracks are not allowed in a playlist.
What plays if I haven't selected a playlist?
If no playlist is selected, tracks will automatically populate from the site's Featured Tracks.
