How to do an Excel Statement Match

Search

Excel statement match can be used to bulk match songs to IRIS songkeys outside of the system.

  1. Load your statement via Electronic or Manual entry.
  2. Once statement is loaded, open, right click and export to Excel making sure that Income statement Detail ID is present (if not, right click on any column header and select Column Chooser and drag and drop Income Statement Detail ID onto the header).
  3. Open statement file in excel and add a column for the statement header ID. Enter and copy and paste it to all lines.
  4. If you have a table from which you will be matching, copy it to a separate worksheet on this file and in the IRIS Song Code column, use a VLOOKUP to match song code or song title to the IRIS songkey in your table. When complete, copy and paste value (to erase formula) and delete worksheet, then save. (Delete n/a’s where v lookup could not find a match and leave blank).
  5. If no table, then just add the IRIS songkey into the IRIS Song Code column, then save (leave unknowns blank).
  6. Back in IRIS, open Excel Match at the top of the Royalty Income Statement tab in the Royalty Income Processing area.
  7. Load your file and map Income Statement Header, Income Statement Detail ID, IRIS Songkey and click Upload & Match.
  8. You’ll be notified that the matches were made.
  9. Open statement and filter by IRIS Song Code to find all NULL (no songkey listed) and research and match if possible or leave deferred for movement to suspense.
  10. Click Save.
