Within the Synchtank Admin, the Admin Settings section allows you to control which fields are visible in your system and configure date formats.
Hidden Fields
The Hidden Fields section allows you to show or hide existing fields across different areas of the system. This gives you control over what appears in the Admin UI without affecting your data.
To hide a field, push the slider next to it and click Save. To show it again, simply toggle it back on and save.
The following sections can be configured:
- Masters — Sound Recording Information, Other Identifiers, Contractual Rights, Owners, Creative Metadata, Web Site Visibility, Limited Access (Restricted Permissions), Files, Other Fields
- Compositions — Composition Information, Other Identifiers, Rights & Legal, Creative Metadata, Web Site Visibility, Limited Access, Rights, System Information
- Composition Shares — Composition Shares
- Albums — Album Information, Other Identifiers, Production Information, Digital Album Information, Physical Album Information, Metadata, Links, Files, Audio Recordings, Track Lists, Web Site Visibility, Limited Access, Broadcast Rights & Usage, Archive Records, Other Fields
- Productions — Production Information, Settings, Links, Files, Cues, Tracks, Other Fields
- Artists — Artist Information, Additional Information, Musical Background, Artist Videos, Settings, Links, Downloadable Assets, Artist Photos, Artist Metadata, Other Fields
If your enterprise requires fields that are not available by default, please contact your Account Manager to discuss custom field options. This requires custom development work and cannot be self-configured.
Date Format
Configure how dates are displayed across your system. Two settings are available, each with the same format options:
- Admin Date Format — controls how dates are displayed in the Admin UI only
- Report Date Format — controls the date format used in generated reports and spreadsheet exports.
When importing data back into the system via spreadsheet, make sure to use the same date format.
